Premiere: Listen to Mood, a swampy new blues stomper from WA's Dan Howls

His Dime A Dozen Australian tour wraps up in Melbourne this week.

Dan Howls is a WA-based artist who knows his way around a bluesy stomper, and his latest effort Mood is one such tune. Produced by James Newhouse (Ash Grunwald), it highlights Howls' wonderfully dirty vocals, backed by a big blues-rock sound. "Mood is about the late nights Julia and I spent in Europe whilst recently touring there. The relentless drinks and conversations through winding cobblestones and the underlying feeling that if we didn't leave soon the large gothic cities would swallow us whole," says Howls. And you can definitely feel that ominousity in the mood of the track.

Check it out below, and if you're in Melbourne you can catch him at The Bridge Hotel in Castlemaine this Saturday.
