Premiere: JUNO - come thru

Meanjin/Brisbane duo deliver a funky, tropical new single of hip-hop infused indie-pop, take a first listen ahead of release

Since emerging in 2021, JUNO have wasted no time in establishing themselves as one of the countries most interesting emerging acts in the broader indie-pop landscape, dropping a pair of dope singles and supporting/sharing stages and lineups with the likes of Peking Duk, The Delta Riggs, FIDLAR, Dune Rats and many more.

Now, a bit over a year on from the release of their 2022 single All The Kids, JUNO are back with their irresistible new anthem come thru, out April 5 but premiering on Pilerats today!

Co-produced by Taka Perry (Sycco, A. Girl, Cody Jon), and JUNO’s Sam Woods, come thru is charismatic cut of funked out alt-pop, with big bouncy basslines and mellow synths sitting alongside tropical percussion and singer Kahlia Ferguson’s soaring saccharine vocals hooking the listener in.

On come thru, JUNO say "'come thru' is about wanting to give your all to a relationship, but only if the other person is willing to do the same. I've had some awful past relationships where I constantly felt like I was giving everything to people who didn't give the same in return. Before entering my current relationship, I was really clear that if I'm going to commit to this, I need them to show up and support me and give as much I will. This song is about wanting a relationship to be a two-way street."

Out April 5, JUNO will be playing a string of shows across Australia’s East Coast to celebrate the release of come thru - see below for all dates, and give come thru a sneaky first listen today!
