Listen: Jinja Safari - Accident

Get primed for the second edition of CIRCO Sessions with a new single from Jinja Safari.

Since uncovering indie five-piece Jinja Safari in 2011, we have been charmed by their unique colouring of tracks with pan flutes, jungle drums, and a penchant for capturing the sounds of their adventures abroad. As the band work towards their third studio album, it’s clear they’ve got a willingness to expand their skillset on this latest one, Accident, dabbling in subtle electronic strokes and bending vocal pitches.

Lead vocalist Marcus Azon shared an intriguing back-story for Accident. He was inspired by witnessing an awkward airport encounter, saying, "it reminded me of every time I've ever run into an ex. I watched them dance around each other, share a wobbly hug, and then part ways. I stood there taking notes like a creep, and thought it might be interesting to write the story from the woman's perspective..."

What’s even better if you’re in Perth, you can catch Jinja Safari this Friday at our very own Jack Rabbit Slim's as they headline the second instalment of CIRCO Sessions. Lock your ticket away HERE, and grab Accident via iTUNES.
