Listen: Born Free - Leech

Melbourne hardcore's finest join Resist Records, release new track and announce new full length.

Off the back of a solid demo and a reeeeealllly good EP Melbourne's Born Free have been welcomed to the roster of Resist Records for the release of their debut LP Sorrow. The LP will be out October 2nd and it's a release I am genuinely looking forward to.. No doubt that come the end of the year will near the top of my lists for sure!

In 2015, the idea of “hardcore” has been stretched, pulled, abused, marketed and dissected far beyond anything its forefathers could have imagined. Melbourne’s Born Free are the antithesis of this corporate arms race. The young quintet are staunch traditionalists, playing crushing metallic hardcore with its roots in the New York scene of the 80’s with splashes of their own native style combining for a refreshing take on a classic sound. Across a well received demo, 2014’s “Evil Hands” 7”EP and solid touring around Australia with the likes of favourites Miles Away, Comeback Kid, Basement and Backtrack, Born Free have grown to become the flag bearers for a new generation of Australian Hardcore.

Listen to Leech the first track off the upcoming record below and Pre order now!
