FIDLAR drop their new Emoji inspired video for Why Generation

FIDLAR drop their new Emoji inspired video for Why Generation

And it’s fucken perfect.

I always thought my use of emojis in textual conversation was pretty on point. But, I’ve got nothing on Ryan Baxley (director), Nolan Fabricius (animator) and the boys from FIDLAR. Their latest hit Why Generation now has the perfect accompanying clip. It’s a world of Emojis that recreates FIDLARS notoriously rowdy live shows and criticizes our incessant use of smart phones. What better way to portray our Gen Y than an Emoji-laden, apocalyptic street walk. Normally clips like this are a bit lame and overdone, but this one is really well put together and super funny. The clip comes just in time for FIDLAR’s run of shows with the Laneway Festival around Australia and New Zealand.

And if the Emoji version is anything to go by, the shows are gonna be loose as fuck.
