Born from a university planning project involving students at the Australian Institute of Music, Voices - A Femme-Fronted Fundraiser will take place at University of Sydney's Hermann's Bar on Sunday, August 21. Voices was created with the aim of celebrating female and LGTBQIA+ musicians and is the first major event of its kind in Australia. Playing across two epic stages, Voices will see Melbourne-based triple j favourites Camp Cope (pictured top) lighting things up, alongside FBI radio former feature artist Jannah Beth, Scabz, 'Hey Lady!', Rachel Maria Cox and a heap more. All of the artists playing are doing so from the good of their golden hearts, with all proceeds going directly to Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre - a vital organisation doing incredible things in the community. If the immensely talented lineup wasn't enough to get you interested, Voices will also feature delectable vegan snacks from My Little Panda Kitchen, and a chance to win a Courtney Barnett-signed guitar which will be auctioned off on the day.
