Hayden James and Running Touch are 'Better Together' in new collab

Two of Australian electronic's biggest stars meet for a floor-filling anthem perfect for the warmer months.

Individually, Hayden James and Running Touch are musicians to be excited about in their own right. The former's slow stream of consistently brilliant singles have seen him become one of the country's most adored, while also flirting with success internationally, whereas the latter's drive to create meaningful pieces of art has delivered some of electronic's most impactful moments - the sultry, 2018 highlight My Hands an obvious example. On Better Together they meet, proving that they are... better together... as their respective styles compliment each other as if they were matching puzzle pieces destined to unite. It's a summery sun-soaked anthem with a bright house backbone, combining Hayden James' signature pop-house pulse with Running Touch's masterful vocal, which adds a sensual, pop-centric twist to the single's masterful sound.

"[Better Together is] about a relationship where you’re better as a team," says Hayden James on the single, and Better Together proves that despite both James and Running Touch being two of Australia's most consistent acts when it comes to electronic music, they're somehow better as a team. "That other person is an extension of you. It’s the right relationship, not just any. It's the one that clicks and where you mirror each other."

Arriving ahead of a run of shows that'll take Hayden James through to the new year, Better Together additionally comes with the announcement of Hayden James' long-awaited debut album, one that'll arrive early next year following a four-year stint of yearly releases that although few and far between, have somehow kept us satisfied. More news on the album, set to release via Future Classic, is yet to come, but in the meantime, dive into Better Together and catch HJ at a range of dates you'll find below.
