Premiere: Fatboy Slim takes on NZ with new remix EP, listen to the first drop from Magik J

It comes ahead of his Eat.Sleep.Rave.Repeat Tour there at the end of the month.

Fatboy Slim arrives in New Zealand soon for his first ever national tour there, and he'll be packing some serious heaters courtesy of a brand new remix pack featuring some of his choicest weapons re-done by some of New Zealand's finest producers. The first cut from the release we are pumped to premiere for you today - Magik J taking on Ya Mama.

"I've been buying records by the many Norman Cook aliases for over 20 years, so to be asked to remix the Fatboy classic, Ya Mama, was a huge honour, I love everything about the original so to get to do my own thing with the samples was awesome. My only goal to
make something that would work in the clubs that I'd be happy to play and of course Fatboy Slim would be happy to smash out in his sets," says Magik J of his chugging house re-work.

Fatboy Slim is as excited as ever about the tour, saying "I am proper moist at the thought of my first proper tour of New Zealand. I’ve never played outside the major cities before or spent bonafide quality time there. What better way to celebrate this than to get a Kiwi retread of some of my tunes to get to know you all better..."

The EP officially drops on Friday 25 January, and will also feature Chores & Terace's take on Weapon Of Choice, Dan Aux going Gangster Trippin, t1r smashing Right Here, Right Now and State Of Mind taking on Star 69. Until then, Kiwi fans can check out the full run of dates below, and keep your eyes and ears peeled as more of the tracks pop up in the coming weeks.
