Tame Impala's Jay Watson is poised to release his second solo album as GUM

The Perth multi-instrumentalist continues to further his career.

Mr. Jay Watson is one very busy human being. Holding down major roles in both Tame Impala and POND is no small feat. It’s hard to believe, yet bloody brilliant, the fact he has spare time to produce music via his side project called GUM. On November 13 Watson will release his latest album entitled Glamorous Damage, following on from Delorean Highway that dropped in May of last year.

This latest work has been produced, mixed and mastered by Jay himself with the majority of recording laid down in his Perth home. From what I’ve gathered from the retro-trippy looking album trailer, it looks as though Glamorous Damage is an all out experiment into disco and pop, making it relevant in 2015. The release looks to carry a chaotic and strong sci-fi vibe with a host of distorted keys and astral sounds along with a whole lot of psychedelia. Watch that very trailer below:

The album features pilot track Anaesthetized Lesson, which has already received a tonne of support. including from this very website. To whet our appetites, Jay has already released the tracklist for the new LP. See below:
