Listen: The Murlocs - Rolling On

If you like King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard you'll like The Murlocs.

The Australian psych scene can tend to be a bit overblown with news about Tame Impala or the we-are-always-working-on-other-album King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard so it's nice to introduce another band. Despite being made up of members of King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Ambrose Kenny Smith [lead singer of Gizz] and Cook Craig, signed to Gizzard's own label Flightless and with my previous point rapidly crumbling I'm just going to get on with the news. The Murlocs have a single out titled Rolling On and they're heading out on tour. Rolling On isn't a frenetic guitar type psych song but a laid-back-watch-the-sun-set with your pals with a few beers nearby. It's a simple affair, unlike Gizzard, but just as enjoyable. Rolling On is also part of a record The Murlocs will be releasing via Flightless in early 2016 but the for moment here is The Murlocs's tour dates:
