Exclusive: Settle in for a prog-soul odyssey with Baldwins' debut EP, Fear Of Flying

The Sydney eight-piece have unleashed something special for the debut six-tracker.

We'll admit that when Baldwins' debut EP, Fear Of Flying, came across our desk we did double take at the progressive-soul descriptor for the group. It's not a genre we hear often, but after deep-diving into the six-tracker we were pretty quickly sold. They cite influences like Thundercat, Radiohead and D'Angelo (and there's a bit of Haitus Kaiyote in there too), and the release as a whole just packs a heap of groove, with some luxurious jams on there perfect for plenty of different ocassions. It's a pearler of a release, and if they can get all eight of 'em on the road easy enough, we reckon the rest of the country will be getting a taste soon enough.

That said, east coast peeps will definitely be able to get amongst it when the group head on tour, check the full run of dates after you've listened to Fear Of Flying below:
