With so much new music coming out each and every day, it can be hard to listen to everything... but we'll be damned if we don't try. Here are our favourite tunes from the week that was from the likes of Elle Shimada, GAIKA, Glasser, Grievous Bodily Calm, Julie Byrne, Romy, Sharon Van Etten, Silent Titan, Ta-Ku and Tangled Thoughts of Leaving.

Elle Shimada - Mononoke feat. Jamahl Yami

GAIKA - LADY feat. bbymutha

Psychedelic alt-rock meets hip hop in addictive fashion on London artist's latest single, featuring the distinctive vocals of bbymutha. GAIKA's new album DRIFT is out September 8 via Big Dada.

Glasser - Vine

After releasing stand alone single New Scars last year, American artist Cameron Mesirow announced her first album as Glasser in ten years with the trippy, almost Björk-esque sounds of Vine. Glasserr's new album Crux is out October 6 via One Little Independent.

Grievous Bodily Calm - Cascades

Boorloo/Perth's finest funky, jazzy, dancey instrumental beat-band GBC return with the title track of their forthcoming EP, the sparkling, transcendental sounds of Cascade.

Julie Byrne - Moonless

The third single from American singer-songwriter's forthcoming album is a gorgeous, sweeping piano & string composition featuring Byrne's ethereal vocals. Julie Byrne's new album The Greater Wings is out July 7 via Ghostly International.

Pardoner - Rosemary’s Gone

Fuzzy, laidback 90s slacker rock done right in 2023 by San Francisco four-piece, sounding a bit like Sonic Youth meets Pavement (which is a hell of a compliment). Pardoner's new album Peace Loving People is out June 23 via Bar/None.

Romy - Loveher

Romy (The xx) announced her debut album with the Fred Again.. produced slice of slow-building, emotional housey piano pop. Romy's new album Mid Air is out September 8 via Young.

Sharon Van Etten - Quiet Eyes

A downtempo, head nod inducing cut of indie folk lifted from the soundtrack for new film Past Lives.

Silent Titan - Cozy feat. KdotMelody

Eora/Sydney-based producer teams up with North London lyricist Kdotmelody whose smooth flow perfectly fits the driving yet atmospheric production from Silent Titan. Silent Titan's new EP Gold Chains & Therapy is out June 23 via Low Key Source.

Ta-Ku - SMILE (feat. Xavier Omär, DAISY WORLD and ROMderful)

Beloved Boorloo-based polymath Ta-Ku returns with a delightfully uplifting new single of soulful, jazzy, r&b-influenced hip-hop featuring vocals from Xavier Omär and DAISY WORLD, with British producer ROMderful also jumping on. Ta-Ku's new album Songs To Come Home To is out August 25 via Future Classic.

Tangled Thoughts of Leaving - Bush Wallaby
