Watch: The Weeknd - Earned It

Daaamn. The Weeknd's new video for 'Earned It' is about as NSFW as they come.

Californian R & B singer The Weeknd, who seems to be a household name in the States right now, recently performing a duet with Ariana Grande at the American Music Awards, has everyone more than a little riled up with his steamy video for his track, Earned It, which will feature on the upcoming soundtrack for Fifty Shades of Grey (alongside tracks by Beyonce, Sia and Jessie Ware).

Wearing a velvet suit, after chilling in the theatre seats for a bit, Abel takes to the stage of the stunning Los Angeles Palace Theatre, weaving in and out of a private performance from a line of bursleque dancers, provocatively clad in leather harnesses and nipple tassles, with black XXX’s stamped on their rear-ends. "Cause girl you're perfect / You're always worth it / And you deserve it / The way you work it / Cause girl you earned it," sings Abel to the girls, before encircling a tied-up Dakota Johnson, who plays Anastasia Steele in the hotly anticipated blockbuster adaptation.

The film clip's director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, said in a behind-the-scenes clip "With Abel, and his voice, and the way he is, he's just instantly seductive... it's a gentle seduction that just pulls you and pulls you in."  In relation to his music and the film, Abel says “I feel like the film and my music is a match made in heaven, if you listen to my album, even the past work I've done, it’s very Fifty Shades of Grey." Uh, ok Abel. Or you could just pretend like you have some artistic integrity, Abel, and not say your life’s work is comparable to a piece of sensationalised pulp fiction for bored middle-aged Mums. Other highlights of the Earned It video include: The Weeknd's haircut.
