Woah, an actual beat by Dr. Dre!? Rare leak here. Possibly from his mythic / scrapped Detox album sessions. It features Compton kid-of-the-minute Kendrick Lamar, and R & B croon king Jeremih, of Birthday Sex / 773 Love fame.
The track features vintage Dre production - acoustic drum kit and velvety synths - with Jeremih's irresistible vocal stylings smoked throughout, only to be rivalled by Dre's own bars, as he sings about a sexy shower session. There's a feels-heavy verse from Kendrick, for whom Dre recently executive produced To Pimp A Butterfly for. Kendrick brings up the "pussy on the pedestal" theory referenced in Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe ("if I put you on a pedestal / That means I'm fuckin' you on a chair"). There's even a Roots sample.
Is it an outtake from good kid, m.A.A.d city, or an earlier Kendrick offering? Or is a third Dre album on the way? Is Detox back on the cards? Can't say, but a leak of this largeness is never a bad sign…
