Wafia returns with a stunning new single, 83 Days

83 Days is the first single from her forthcoming sophomore EP, out later this year:

Brisbane-based vocalist and songwriter Wafia has been one of our favourites since she emerged with the simply gorgeous Heartburn back in late 2015 - a single which she acoustically reinvented for one of our debut Live Sessions last year. Since, the elegant songstress has gone on to work with fellow Future Classic signees such as Ta-Ku and Charles Murdoch, releasing a full EP and touring with the former for much of 2016. Today she returns on a solo level, releasing 83 Days - the first single from her forthcoming sophomore EP. Much like her previous work, 83 Days is all about her powerful vocal prowess, which confidently soars above a far livelier production than we initially expected when hearing the news of her long-awaited return. The chiming and at times anthemic production accompaniment matches perfectly with Wafia's strong vocals, contrasting her signature brooding sound with a far more dynamic and energetic sound we weren't quite anticipating - but totally loving. As previously mentioned, the single is the first from her upcoming second EP, which is sure to be an absolute stunner when it arrives through Future Classic later in the year.
