Premiere: Benson gets deep on his fiery remix of Northeast Party House's Calypso Beach

The Melbourne producer takes Northeast Party House's original to clubland with his hard-hitting house remix.

Australian house don Benson is one of our go-to's for heaving, club-ready house bangers - look no further than his latest singles Trying (featuring Yeo) and Step To Me, for example. Today he returns, following on from his consistent run of catchy house singles with a new remix of Northeast Party House's Calypso Beach. In true Benson style, the remix is LARGE - taking the upbeat vocals from the original and sliding a tropical-tinged bassline underneath which is pumped full of flavour and power. It's got that addictive, sweaty club groove we've come to really love from Benson (and many of the releases on his Medium Rare Recordings label), with that bouncy bassline giving the song that extra "oomph" level that only someone like Benson could provide.
