Listen to Angel Speak, a new cut from Machinedrum
The Dos Puertas follow-up features Beyonce collaborator MeLo-X.
With features and guest productions sprinkled throughout 2016's duration thus far, last month saw Machinedrum return with Dos Puertas - a quick-firing, club-influenced original featuring Kevin Hussein. Following up from that, this week has seen the esteemed producer release Angel Speak, a glittery, more refined single that dabbles in Machinedrum's origins in reggaetron and footwork. It's light and bubbly, glistening with summery sounds and crisp percussion at every turn, combining pitched, PC Music-esque vocal work with staccato percussion claps and fragmented synth stabs to create a piece of work that seems quite disjointed, but all the elements of the song manage to roll together quite well. Just before the two-minute mark, Machinedrum tops it off with a roaring trumpet line, which inputs another refreshing layer into what is quite a multi-faceted number. Sporting guest vocals from Beyoncé collaborator MeLo-X, Angel Speak is a distinctive, quirky release from the US producer and is available through Soundcloud below, or on Spotify HERE.
