After relocating to Sydney at the age of just 19, Luen Jacobs is one of the most talented names in the Australian electronic world. Aside from being a kick-ass DJ that travels the country non-stop, Luen also runs TAXX, a national set of parties which aims to reflect her deep knowledge of Australia's dance music scene and the talent within it, as well as hosting shows on FBi Radio and triple j. Currently in the middle of an Australian tour (she has shows in Wollongong and Perth this weekend, with dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and a whole heap of others to come - check them out at the bottom of this article), the tastemaker and party-thrower has put together a lengthy mix for Pilerats, which highlights her deep tastemaking skills while also creating a little bit of a story that not many DJ mixes do nowadays. Throughout the hour-and-a-half of chilled-out house and tech, Luen details a story about "two people who see each other on a dancefloor in the club, they may know each other, they might not, but the music massages their sexual desire for each other. Their anxieties about work and life drop away and they start to enjoy themselves, getting closer all the while. The mix takes you from this innocent meeting in the club to their house, through foreplay into full blown good times in the bedroom." Listen to the mix below:
