The Wombats drop their first single in two years, Lemon To A Knife Fight

The Australian festival favourites will release their fourth album, Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life, on February 9.

Two years after their super successful third album Glitterbug, Liverpool three-piece The Wombats have just released the first single from their forthcoming fourth album Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life, which will drop early next February through Warner Australia. Lemon To A Knife Fight is the first single from the album, and as expected from the typically upbeat and festival-friendly group, it's an absolute pearler – just think light guitar melodies, catchy vocal hooks, and an effortlessly cool vibe which will no doubt soundtrack the Australian summer. "The last album was about me meeting someone and my life going upside down in Los Angeles, partying too hard and getting myself in trouble," says The Wombats frontman Matthew Murphy on the record, which will arrive on February 9th. "This album is about me battling against that, trying to live an adult life. And failing." Listen to the album's first single below:
