Celebrate Go!'s release today watching Issues open their Warped set with the Pokemon theme song

They seriously nail it.

I don't think I've heard the word Pokemon mentioned this many times in one day since I was eight years old, and in no way is that a bad thing. To coincide with the release of Pokemon GO! in Australia and NZ today, check out this video of Atlanta post-hardcore outfit Issues playing a flawless cover of the Pokemon theme to open their set on Warped Tour. While I'm not the biggest fan of Issues' original tunes, they certainly know how to cover an insanely popular 90's cartoon theme song. The five-piece have been playing their heavier rendition of the Pokemon theme on each leg of the festival so far, and have even been decking the stage out and their equipment in Pokemon themed decorations, because why do anything in halves, right?
