Ahead of SOTA Festival this weekend, Carla Geneve drops wonderful new single, Listening

One of our 2018 Artists To Watch continues to shine brightly.

It's kinda hard to believe Perth's Carla Geneve is only 18, such is the maturity and honesty that comes with her particular brand of storytelling and alt-folk/rock sounds. Although, perhaps that's the point, and her second single Listening is another pearler, "written from the perspective of a friend. I really wanted her to stand up for herself more in a relationship." Following on from debut single Greg's Discount Chemist, it also comes on the back of a stellar past 12 months for Geneve, including taking out the inaugural Mojo Rising Band Competition and WAM's Best Regional Act, along with supporting the likes of Gomez, Belle & Sebastian and more.

The good times roll this weekend where she joins Tired Lion at Jack Rabbit Slim's on Sunday 3 June, before hitting up SOTA Festival on Monday 4 June, alongside some of WA's heaviest hitting artists, and then supporting Lord Huron from the USA over east in July. Check the full run of dates once you've tucked into Listening below:
